When integrating with CLEAR, the first decision is how your system will connect to our verification service. Each integration method represents a different balance of engineering effort, customization, and speed to deploy.
API Integration
Best if you want maximum flexibility and direct API control.
OIDC / OAuth 2.0
Ideal if you’re already using federated identity or need higher assurance levels (e.g., IAL2).
Out-of-the-Box:
Fastest option, with pre-built flows (such as EPIC in healthcare) that minimize development lift.
CLEAR recommends starting with the method best aligned to your use case and system requirements, while keeping in mind that all options provide secure, compliant identity verification.
